Autumn Nail Colours

At the weekend, while trying to tidy out my beauty and nail stuff I picked out some of my favourite Autumn colours to keep at the top of the box. I think deep, warm colours are my favourite shades for nails, I especially love how they can look on short nails. Here are a few of my favourites:

China Glaze- City Siren

Revlon- Midnight Affair

OPI- Eiffel for this colour

China Glaze- Evening Seduction

Magnetic Polish- Deep Purple

A few different Autumn Manicures I did over the weekend:

Pink Nails

I have been on the lookout for a nice pale pink polish for some time now, I decided to pick up Essence 'Sweet as Candy' this week and give it a try.

I was very happy with the results, I had to do three coats for the colour to come out as bright as I wanted it.

I also added a white lace design on my accent nail with OPI Alpine Snow.

I topped it off with 1 coat of Essence Top Coat.

Happy Friday Fellow bloggers xx

Rachel Zoe stylist

I love superstar stylist Rachel Zoe from finding out about her through my friend Roisin, we watch her in her oh-so-chic reality show. She does Styling for major magazine shoots, picking outfits for A-listers to wear on the red addicted to her Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project—it’s all in a day’s work for one of Hollywood’s most famous fashionistas.

She regularly appears in vogue(one my fave's)and is also like myself as she is addicted to drinking one or two cups of very strong tea.Since attending college ive learned alot from her on fittings, and editorial shoots.

Her product line Was launched in the fall. consisting of bags, jewelry, scarves, faux-fur outerwear, sunglasses and a fragrance. I’m very into her style on faux-fur! I got two for my birthday.
My Own goal of late is ’70s, early- ’80s high fashion, incorporating the fall runway looks, so right now I'm rocking the 'Rachel Zoe black meets 70's festivals'.
Think jean shorts, a T-shirt or a tank (usually TOPSHOP)paired with a cropped, fitted, vintage faux- fur jacket. I pretty much have a few of her own outfits down to a T.
Although she works doing press appearances and premieres she always has time for family and friends.

Im hoping to leave college to work on ad campaigns, press tours, editorial shoots and events... id love to be a PA to someone like her though.
Rachel Zoe is a woman like myself I think. Career driven and rapidly expanding as a person. She is one of my inspirations and fuels my infinite love of fashion.
You either love or hate her?

Birthday Girl!

The White House Teeth Whitening

I finally got my teeth whitened!

I have tried several  avenues to try get my teeth whiter, toothpastes, gels, avoiding certain foods. People are always asking me how i get my teeth so white, I don’t really think they are very bright, but I always respond with the usual, Pearl drops and other whitening toothpastes.

A few days ago I read about The White House on a blog and decided to see was there one near where I live and was thrilled to find there is one in Dundrum which is 10 mins away from my home!

Without regard to money or finances I gave them a call and made an appointment for this week. I was delighted to find they are doing a special offer at the moment, The Whitening treatment is now €195 from the normal price of €250, with a free re-treatment in the next 18 months included, worth €99!

I had my appointment yesterday afternoon, and I am thrilled with the results!

The process took one hour, which included two 20mins session of laser treatment, I found my teeth became a bit sensitive during the last 20min session but I powered through. I experienced some sensitivity last night but thankfully have no pain today!

What do you guys think of the results?

Square Shaped Nails

I usually have round shaped nails, so decided to change it up for a while and file them into squares.

I’m not sure which i prefer, I think square can look neater with polish on them and more striking but I do also prefer the more soft subtle look of round shaped nails hmmm...

I was supposed to go shopping this weekend to buy myself some new Autumn colour polishes, but unfortunately I came down with a cold and wasn’t able to do a big shopping day. So I rooted out my giant box of polishes and found a nice navy glittery colour to do me until I get to the shops.

Its called Revlon- Midnight Affair, it is a lovely navy colour with silver sparkle. I was hoping to purchase a nice burgundy colour, and a deep mustard colour, I’m feeling much better today so hopefully I’ll make it to the shops later.

What's your favourite nail shape?
