Ginger & Co.

Last weekend my dad very kindly offered to collect a package for me from the post office, as I order so much online I had no idea what the item could be... I was absolutely delighted to open this box of goodies from *Ginger & Co!

Ginger & Co is a relatively new brand. The Ginger & co brand is a 1940’s inspired bath and body brand. The range includes several items from Bath wash to Body butter.

Double Up Creamy Body wash - This body wash is absolutely gorgeous. It includes blends of ginger root and juniper berry. It has a delightful fruit scent. It leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and moisturised.

Bathing Beauty Moisturizing Bubble Bath and Wash- I am a huge fan of bubble bath so I was very excited to give this product a try. This bubble bath is beautiful. With a blend of ginger root and bergamot is smells beautiful and quite soothing. It left my skin feeling super soft.

Soft On You Daily Body Lotion- I have to say I am not the best with keeping up my moisturising routine. I recently noticed when I use false tan I am left with patches or streaks marks as my skin can be quite dry so this was another fabulous product for me to try. This lotion is beautiful, its leaves skin feels soft and moisturised and dries very quickly.

Soft On You Comforting Body Butter- As I have said I am not great with my moisturising routine so again this was another product for me. My sister uses body butters and always recommends them to me. This body butter contains Ginger root which aids in cell renewal. After applying this product my skin felt soft and buttery!

Hand It To Me Dreamy Hand Cream- During the Autumn/ Winter seasons I always throw a hand cream into my bag. My hands get very dry during the colder months. I think this product is my favourite of the Ginger & Co. range. It is again blended with ginger root for skin renewal. It also contains and the tropical harvest of mango, melon and papaya which gives it a gorgeous fruity scent. It leaves my hands feeling moisturised and soft for hours.

Heavenly Hands Moisturizing Hand Wash- I always keep a hand wash in my bathroom. I recently ran out of hand wash and so this went straight to the bathroom on Saturday as I was having guests over Saturday night, I got loads of complements on this product. I think the packaging is so girly and really brightened up my bathroom.

Hi Lovely's,

My sister Sarah and friend Natalie recently started up a new blog. The blog is based mainly on Fashion and Events around Ireland.

Sarah has spent the past summer at several events, festivals and concerts around the country, she will covering the Events side of meraki. If you enjoy a bit of fashion advice/tips and news, and love having a snoop at the events and lifestyles of  fellow bloggers I think you will truly enjoy this blog. So please go along and check them out.

I will be heading out with these two lovely ladies this Saturday for Sarah's Birthday, I'm sure there will be many photos taken to mark the event and a related post will be up very soon.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

St Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face and Body Lotion Light/Medium

After reading all about this on Lily Melrose I was dying to give it a try. Lily was lucky enough to attend the Mary Katrantzou show where the new St Tropez instant tan was used on the models walking the runaway.

This is actually a sample bottle which came with Cosmo magazine. My lovely sister Sarah kindly gave me this sample as she knew I was dying to give it a try.

First off, I absolutely adore the packaging. It comes in a lotion and a mousse form, the light/medium shade has a pink lid while the medium/dark shade has a purple lid.  The colour of the tan is gorgeous, very natural. I found it dried quite quickly leaving a streak free natural glow.

The tan is instant and therefore washes off in the shower but can be worn up to 24hrs. It is also waterproof, I got to test this theory over the weekend, and I can say that I did not experience streaks or smudges.

As it claims it can be used on your face I was eager to test this theory. I applied a small amount of the tan after my primer and then added my foundation over it. I found the tan applied very evenly onto my skin and looked seamless. I did not experience any breakouts...yet!

One thing I would say about this tan is the shade is quite dark for a light to medium shade. I usually go for the medium/darker shades when I purchase tan but I found this shade was definitely dark enough for my liking, having said that I may have to purchase the darker shade just to see what colour comes out!

Has anyone else tried this tan?

September Favourites

I cant believe it is October. Where has the summer gone! That said, I'm excited for Autumn, its my favourite time of year. I love wearing woollies and boots and going for brisk walks in the Autumn weather. Anyway back to beauty! Here is a few things I've been loving through September-

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff- This has become my stable exfoliator, it is perfect for getting rid of those stubborn tan stains and leaves your skin feeling soft and vibrant- Review here.

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette- My lovely friend Hayley bought this gorgeous palette for me. It is filled with gorgeous gold, brown & neautral shades. These shades are perfect for everyday and evening looks. I believe this palette is completely sold out on the Mua website. It is obviously in high demand!

Barry M Polish- Raspberry- I picked up this gorgeous bright red shade in Boots last weekend during a Buy one get one half price offer. I absolutely love it, it is a perfect shade for the Autumn months. Picture below.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation- I picked up this foundation while I was in Leitrim with some friends, we went on a bit of a splurge in Boots. I had been told this foundation is very similar to Estee Lauder Double wear and I whole heartily agree! It gives the same amount of coverage, leaves a seamless finish and lasts for hours on your skin. Link for full review here.
